I got a Ph.D. in Polar Sciences and a MSc in Earth Sciences, where I was able to fuel my passion for outdoors, mountains, snow and polar regions.
Avalanche instructor, board member of the national school of the Italian Avalanche Service, avalanche control specialist, professional member of the American Avalanche Association and vice-president of the Avalanche Commission of the International Commission for Alpine Rescue (ICAR), I'm fascinated by the snow in all its forms and by all the transformations that occur in the snowpack. I'm an all round mountain lover and also a climbing instructor.
I participated in many expeditions to Arctic and Antarctica as Polar Guide and Expedition Leader and I love sharing scientific research, life on expeditions, and safety culture through public speaking and photography.
I'm member of the Italian Glaciological Committee, board member of the Lombardy Glaciological Service, Antarctic ambassador for IAATO and ambassador for the citizen science project Community Snow Observations.
